Interior renovation of Breech drinking water tank

Project Information

On behalf of the Stuttgart Regional Water Supply Association, the interior renovation of the Breech drinking water reservoir was carried out between March 2016 and April 2017. The reservoir has a volume of 10,000 m³, distributed across two water chambers with a base area of 33 m x 51 m and 77 supports each. The work involved removing the entire interior coating using ultra-high pressure water jets, followed by concrete repair measures and crack remediation. Finally, a new mineral coating was applied, with the construction work being carried out in stages to ensure that one water chamber could remain in operation at all times.
