Terminal 3 Main Building, Frankfurt am Main – Pier H, Pier J, Apron Tower, Germany
Project information
On behalf of Fraport AG, Wiedemann GmbH has been carrying out extensive work on Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport since spring 2021 and is expected to continue until 2025. Specifically, the work is being carried out on the main building, Pier H (approx. 600 m long), Pier J (approx. 400 m long), and the approximately 70 m high apron tower.
The scope of services includes significant energy efficiency and construction measures, including the insulation of approximately 65,000 m² of concrete facades with mineral wool, including the installation of around 300,000 dowels. In addition, approximately 50,000 running meters of sealing tape and connection profiles will be installed, and approximately 50,000 m² of finishing plaster will be applied. The project will be supplemented by approx. 10,000 m² of tiling work on the ground floor as well as metal construction and natural stone work in the base area.
