CUBE: The World’s First Carbon Concrete Building, Dresden

Project Informationen

Between March and November 2021, we carried out a total of 380 m² of sprayed concrete works for the CUBE – the world's first building made of carbon concrete – on behalf of the Institute of Concrete Structures at TU Dresden. The project included sprayed concrete applications for the structural construction of the curved façade covering 290 m², as well as the construction of a free-standing wall element using the sprayed concrete method and carbon reinforcement over a further 90 m². The project stands out for its innovative use of carbon concrete, which enabled the creation of the building's elegant curved architecture and its distinctive roof design.

The CUBE is the world’s first building made of carbon concrete. Its distinctive curved carbon concrete elements, including the roof, create a unique and aesthetically striking architectural design.
