Wiedemann celebrated its 75th anniversary. Three quarters of a century of innovation, consistency and successful partnerships.
Establishment of the subsidiary in Switzerland, Wiedemann Reservoirschutz AG,
Aeschengraben 10, 4051 Basel.
Frank Ackermann joins the company as Technical Director.
Meik Hering takes over his father's company.
Acquisition of a 3,500 square metre commercial property for the branch in the Dresden city area.
Certification of the company according to DIN ISO 9001.
Building authority approval for reinforcing components with CFRP laminates (carbon fibre laminates).
Establishment of the Leipzig office.
Establishment of the Dresden branch.
Functional division of the company into business areas:

Membership in the GEB ‘Quality Association for the Preservation of Concrete Structures’, award of the quality control mark.
Taking on large-scale projects as a general contractor in all business areas.
Nationwide execution of concrete repair work on drinking water facilities, car parks, port facilities, power stations, sewage treatment plants, cooling towers, bridge and tunnel structures, and high-rise buildings.
Relocation to the current headquarters
Weidenbornstraße 7–9, 65189 Wiesbaden.
Start of international operations with construction projects in Iran, Algeria, Niger, Romania, Yugoslavia, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Spain.
Completion of the first high-rise renovation in Germany by Wiedemann; construction project ‘Student Residence’ in Frankfurt am Main, as well as the construction project ‘Deutsche Pfandbriefanstalt’ in Wiesbaden.
The field of activity is being expanded to include concrete renovation in building construction.
Carrying out initial renovations on bridge structures and de-icing salt protection on car parks and transport structures.
The scope of responsibilities will be expanded to include industrial floor renovation and coating, particularly for high chemical and mechanical stress.
The company is sold by Fritz Wiedemann to Gerhard Hering.
Processing of the first two-component epoxy resins in drinking water tanks.
The field of activity is being expanded to include the coating and waterproofing of swimming pools and the waterproofing of structural and civil engineering works against pressurised water.
Company founded by chemist Fritz Wiedemann in Wiesbaden and start of manufacturing chemical-technical products. Production and distribution of bitumen coatings for municipal and urban drinking water tanks and pipelines, as well as the start of construction repairs, sealing and coating of drinking water systems and tanks in the former occupation zones. Development of proprietary drying and ventilation equipment, as well as processes for the renovation of drinking water systems and drinking water tanks.
